Newborn Sessions - Your new bundle of joy is the boss!
That's why I reserve the most time for newborn sessions. It ensures that baby has lots of time for feedings, cuddles, naps, fussy times, ...(and most importantly) happy times! Prepare to be in the studio for 2 hours - and sometimes even more. Newborn sessions are best done within the first two weeks of life. Babies this young tend to sleep very deeply and tolerate the session very well. They also still like to be curled up in the fetal position which makes for easier posing. Once past the two week mark, babies generally don't sleep as soundly and tend to prefer to stretch out making posing more difficult. It is a good idea to book your newborn session well before your due date to hold your spot. We can always change the date if you deliver early or late.

Simplicity works best with newborns, and I like to photograph them mostly "in the buff" to best showcase their natural newborn state. Knitted hats and blankets are great for adding a pop of colour, and I have a large collection, so you don't have to worry about a thing! To keep baby most comfortable, the studio will be warm! Dress in layers so you can be comfortable while we are getting great shots of baby. That way you can change or add a layer when it's time for family shots. Bring an extra bottle, or prepare for an extra feeding...it seems all the excitement can make little ones super hungry!

All sessions at Little Rosebuds Photography include digital files. The highest quality printed products (including canvases and albums) are available to purchase if you so choose. However, there is never any obligation to, and there is no high-pressure sales ordering appointment to schedule or attend. All costs are up-front so you can feel confident in making your decisions before you even book. Newborn sessions are held in my home studio in Ancaster, Ontario in the Hamilton area. I'm just a quick stop off the highway if you are coming from Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Mississauga or Toronto for your newborn session. I'm very accessible off of the Linc if you are coming from Stoney Creek, Grimsby, Brantford, Binbrook and surrounding areas.
