As a mom, I know how impossible it feels to imagine these early days ever ending. The sleepless nights, the endless snuggles, the way your baby curls perfectly into your chest. It all feels like it will last forever. And then somehow, in the blink of an eye, they're no longer quite so small.
As a newborn photographer for more than 15 years, I've had the incredible privilege of documenting these fleeting first days for hundreds of families. All of the beautiful little details that change far too quickly deserve to be remembered.
Studio Posed newborn sessions take place in the comfort of my home studio in Ancaster, where everything is designed to be calm, relaxed, and baby-led. You can sit back, relax, and soak in these precious moments while I gently and safely pose your little one, creating timeless images you'll treasure for years to come.
When Should I Book My Newborn Session?
The ideal time to photograph newborns is during the first two weeks after birth, when babies are typically at their sleepiest and still naturally curl into those sweet, womb-like poses.
Because these early weeks pass so quickly, I recommend reserving your session during your second trimester whenever possible. Your due date simply holds your place on my calendar, and we can always adjust your session date once your baby arrives.
That said, if your little one is already here, please don't worry. I happily photograph babies of all ages, so don't hesitate to reach out.

What To Expect
Your newborn session is meant to feel relaxed and enjoyable. My home studio in Ancaster is fully stocked with a beautiful collection of wraps, headbands, bonnets, and props, so you don't need to worry about bringing anything beyond the essentials for your little one.
As a mom, I know that life with a newborn rarely goes according to plan, and that's completely okay. Every session is baby-led, which means we take breaks whenever they're needed for feeding, cuddling, soothing, or diaper changes. There is never any pressure to rush, and there are no expectations for your baby to sleep the entire time.
With more than 15 years of experience photographing newborns, your baby's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Every pose is done gently and safely, following your baby's cues every step of the way. If your little one isn't comfortable in a particular pose, we simply move on. Their well-being will always come first.
Parents and siblings are always encouraged to join in. While I absolutely love capturing all of those tiny details, some of the most meaningful images are often the ones of you simply loving on your baby.
Before your session, I'll send over a detailed preparation guide with everything you need to know, including what to wear, how to prepare your baby, and answers to all those little questions new parents tend to have. My hope is that you'll walk into the studio feeling prepared, comfortable, and able to simply enjoy this special time with your family.

I'm Rose, the creative eye behind Little Rosebuds Photography, based right here in Ancaster, Ontario. For well over a decade, I've been passionately capturing newborns, maternity, and family moments with a touch of modern elegance and timeless charm.
Working with little ones isn't just a job for me; it's my absolute joy. There's something magical about preserving the innocence of babies, the energy of children, and the warmth of families in the simplest and most genuine way possible.
Since 2010, I've been dedicated to photographing newborns and babies, always prioritizing their safety and comfort above all else. I'm proud to be a Qualified Newborn Photographer certified by the Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International. I average about 100 newborn sessions per year, so at the time of writing this, that means over 1500 newborns have been in my studio!
My passion and expertise have earned me national recognition in Newborn and Children's Portraiture with the Professional Photographers of Canada.
