Every summer we like to spend some time up north, and since taking up photography the drive has become the most exciting part for me. I love passing through farm land, open blue skies and golden wheat… Last year we took a wrong turn and ended up smack dab in the middle of a wind farm. When we got home I did some research and found out we were driving through the largest wind farm in Canada. I wanted to drive by that way again this year to take some shots. Unfortunately these pics don’t really show how surreal it was to be there. It’s definitely much more of a 360 degree experience. These wind mills are just massive…and kind of sterile and post-apocalyptic. Maybe I am being a bit dramatic, but they just seemed to cast an unsettling feeling jetting out into the sky like that. And they are EVERYWHERE! We even saw some cows nestling at the base of one. Here are some shots from our drive!
Wow! What an amazing location! She is a doll!
These are so cool! I just love how TINY she looks next to one of those windmills. Adorable captures!
These are so fresh and real. Love the blue skies!!
