By the Train Tracks | Hamilton ON Children’s Photographer

.

I’ve been wanting to take my nephew for some fun train themed shots for quite a while, and I finally had the opportunity this weekend! Actually, this shoot almost didn’t happen because of the wacky weather.  Since it was pretty overcast most of the morning, the lighting was ideal so we decided to head out early afternoon. Basically, as soon as we left the clouds parted and brought us some harsh overhead sunlight…not to mention it felt like 40 degrees in that sun. Overhead sun is the worst for portraits, and I knew this area wasn’t overly shady. So we decided to come back after dinner…that way, even if the sun was out, it would be that soft warm sunsetty-sun as opposed to the harsh overhead afternoon light.  After dinner, we got in the van and started to head down to the location again…and you wouldn’t believe it! The clouds started rolling in and it started to rain! Thankfully it was just a sprinkle and it let up by the time we got to the tracks! I had a lot of fun editing this session, and I decided to play around with a vintagey feel.  I just thought these pics called for something a little different.
